Confirmation is a rich time of dialog and interact with Pastor Henn with all 8th grade students.

bullet Memorization verses

Confirmation Is
bullet a time of dialoguing about faith in the Triune God
bullet a time of embracing Jesus Christ as your Savior
bullet a time of developing a Christian life style
            led by the Holy Spirit
                       to witness and serve the living God

Expectation of students
bullet Attend Sunday School and Worship each Sunday.
bullet Attend Confirmation class weekly.
bullet Bring a three ring notebook in which to keep materials.
bullet Bring a pencil or pen to write with.
bullet Be on time.
bullet Memorize scriptures according to the covenant signed with Pastor.
bullet Attend class trips that we may be able to organize and participate.
bullet Participate in our social events of the church such as Family Fun nights, etc.
bullet Use a NRSV Bible; New Revised Standard Version of the Bible.  If students do not have one, we will provide one for their use and to keep.
bullet Participate in youth activities organized and offered by ECUCC.
bullet Pray.
bullet Participate in other ministries of the church such as Youth Choir or Adult Choir.

Expectations of Parents
bullet Model for your student a Christian life style.
bullet Attend Worship regularly with your Confirmand sitting together with them in the Sanctuary during Worship.
bullet Assist your Confirmand with their memory work.
bullet Attend and offer to drive to any class trip we may organize.
bullet Support your Confirmand by asking them what they are learning and doing in class.
bullet Pray for our class as well as your Confirmand.
